STC Incentives
Trade your STCs to earn a discount off the cost of your new heat pump water heater. Each product in the Dux environmental range has been assigned a STC value, and each STC represents a saving of one megawatt of electricity generated from fossil fuels over 10 years.
Used the reduced entitlement when selecting your new water heater and to calculate the STC incentive you could be eligible for.

Systems eligibility for STCs and STC values are subject to change without notice and are correct at time of publishing. STCs calculations are based on continuous tariff. STC values attributable to solar and heat pump water heaters are being reduced by 10% per year. The values stated in the tables above match the values published in the register of heat pump water heaters. These include a reduction in STCs (checked January 2024). Use the STC calculator link www.rec-registry.gov.au/rec-registry/app/calculators/swh-stc-calculator to calculate the number of STC your installation is eligible for. The systems eligibility for STC’s will be based on the year in which the system was installed.

they’re suitable for a broad range of water qualities found throughout Australia.
Pro-Series models use R290 refrigerant, an environmentally friendly refrigerant with a low global warming potential (GWP) of less than 3. That’s naturally better for our environment than synthetic alternatives.

Energy Efficient
With a high Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 4.7^, Dux Ecosmart Pro-Series heat pumps use up to 75% less energy than a standard electric water heater. They absorb free heat energy from the air and use 1kW of electrical energy to create 4kW of heating output. This makes them a great choice for households looking to reduce their energy use particularly when connected to continuous or time-of-use electricity tariffs.
They feature premium componentry from some of the major brands in refrigeration technology. This includes a powerful R290 compressor, a low draw EC fan, an Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV) & smart controller technology.

How it Works
The new Dux Pro-Series heat pump features an external copper condenser (heat exchange coil) for efficient water heating, making it more suitable for use in a broad range of water quality areas.
Working like a fridge, but in reverse, the heat pump absorbs heat energy from the air outside the tank, and uses this free energy to help heat the water.

Built Tough for Australian Conditions
Polymer materials used on the Dux Pro-Series heat pump are UV stabilised, and feature flame retardant. This ensures the plastic heat pump housing won’t turn brittle or fade in the harsh Australian sun, or even burn if exposed to an ignition source.
Control At Your Fingertips
Pro-Series models include a touch screen, tank mounted controller for scheduling and mode selection of your water heater. These functions enable you to maximise your savings by controlling the heat pump operation.
With 1 in 4 Australian homes featuring a PV solar system, you can take advantage of up to 2 timer schedules per day to operate the heat pump when your system is generating excess electricity. And even if you don’t have solar, you can sign up to concessional solar sponge tariffs and time the unit to heat across these periods. This control enables you to heat your water for virtually nothing.
